Who We Are

Damien Chazelle, CEO
Damien Chazelle has directed movies. If you ask him what his favorite movie is, he will answer but not hide that he’s annoyed by your question. This isn’t very generous and itself is pretty annoying. He also is either taller or shorter than you think, depending on how tall you think he is. He has not died yet, and hopes it isn’t for several years.
See Effo, CFO
See is a Michigan-born Albanian freak whose love for numbers is only matched by her hatred of letters. She loves long crawls on the beach. Before Periodical Inc, Incorporated, she worked as a teacher, home-schooling herself. Get this: she flunked out! So she fired herself. Oh, See, your honor and misplaced energy knows no bounds.
James Murdoch, COO
James Murdoch has done a lot of stuff, things, and even activities in his life.
Joel Glazer, Director Of Slay Mama
Joel Glazer is the owner of Manchester United. While his commitments to the English soccer team, as well as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, are considerable, it was Joel’s passion for directing Periodical’s Slay Mama that convinced Chazelle and co that he was the right man for the job.
Eytan Boclin, Non-managing Director
Eytan made the zine which started it all, and while he doesn’t have the business acumen, ruthlessness (a lack of ruth), or vision that the rest of the board has, his lawyer got him a deal to remain part of the company. There were some people who wanted to proverbially “take him out back” once they wrestled control from him, and many who felt they should just shoot him out front, as the feeling was that no one would really care if he was murdered -- this faction of the board thought it would be a waste of time to travel to the back before shooting him. 'Just kill him now' was a common refrain at this time. While they were debating this, Mr. Boclin slipped away. The worm.
Everyone who’s on the Amazon Board, Board Members
Love these guys. Amazing energy and overall disposition/worldview.
A non-monogamous Jewish fabric dealer named Poly Esther, Executive in Charge of Sales
Poly’s fabric dealing numbers are downright dynamite. So when Periodical Inc, Incorporated needed someone to be in charge of sales in an executive sense, we looked no further than Ms. Esther. She could sell satin to a spool of yarn! Her non-monogamous lifestyle is confusing and threatening, and has led to several, and I mean several, wildly inappropriate questions and accusations from the rest of the board. We hope she learns to stop reacting so defensively and just be honest about her untamable sexual... how you say... wants.
